Zombie. Birthday disappointment.

Day 4

No cardio today.  Lucy decided to wake at 1am this morning. After being so successful with sleeping through the night this came as a total shock to my system! The thought of rising 4 hours later to run wasn't very appealing, so I decided to sleep in (if you consider 7am a sleep in) The upset sleep left me feeling quite zombied for the rest of the day.  My toes are feeling much better though and are probably enjoying the rest!

Not so for the rest of my bod though with another good gym workout.  Bent over rows, bench presses, deadlifts and lunges.  Right now I dont think there is one muscle that isnt feeling the wrath of the dumbbell!

Lincoln was feeling much better this morning after he ate his breakfast...he had been up in the night and had a bit of a vomit.  I gave him the option of staying home but he decided to go to school.  He was put in a great mood by winning a radio competition; he won some 'Weebles'; those funny little egg shaped toys that "wobble but they don't fall down".  He's a bit old for them so they have gone into storage for Lucy. He also came home with the 'Star of the Week' certificate from his teacher so he was in one hell of a great mood - until I had to share some very disappointing new with him.

His 10th birthday is next weekend and for the last few months we've been planning how to celebrate his 'double digits'.  As he is a HUGE fan of Star Wars, he decided to theme it and also take the kids from the party out for a few games of LaserStrike as we thought it suited the theme.  We were booked in, however today we were called to be informed that LaserStrike would be closing for 3 weeks for renovations...which meant we couldnt use the facility.  BUGGER!!!  Lincoln's eyes filled up with tears when I told him as he had his heart set on it.  So we are to have the party then round all the kids up again in September for the games.  Now I'm on the search for more things for the kids to do at our place...any ideas are welcome!
