Goal Completed!

NZIFBB Waikato Oct 9 2010
(5 months post Lucy)
Its been a while since I last wrote - and a couple of Blogs ago I had been ill, and wasnt too keen on getting myself on stage. Well I must have completely changed my mind as I did get on stage .... and I felt extremely proud of myself for doing so.  I was in a tough line up of 5, and at judging felt it was obvious that I wouldnt place. I told Matt how I thought the placings would go and I was correct.  I wasn't placed, but it didn't (and doesn't) matter.  On Saturday I was on cloud 9.  5 months post-baby and rocking the stage, showing what you can achieve if you set your mind to it.  I am thrilled to bits with how I look and am probably in better shape than I was before I had Lucy.  Lisa Menzies has done a report on the show, with lots of piccies; jsut click GOFIGURE to get there.

Since the show I have been resting, and taking a little bit of a relaxed approach to my eating, and enjoying a wine!  This weekend Matt and I are heading out for a much needed 'date night' which involves a bottle of bubbles, dinner out and lots of cardio on the dance floor at 'Our House'.  Then next week I'll be back onto a good eating regime which will coincide with my new training plan.  I've been reading about 10x10 training so will be getting into that.  There is plenty of info on Google if you want to see what I'll be doing.

My muffin mission is still going strong.  I've recently made page 15 'Avocado & Bacon Muffins'. Ive had one, well actually two, and they are pretty tasty - probably one of the nicest muffins I've ever had!  Next due for the oven will be 'Cheese Red Pepper Muffins'. My boys havent tired of them yet, thank goodness.

Matt, Lucy & Lincoln at The Home Show
Over the past 3 weeks Lucy has also grown a lot!  She is gobbling up a LOT of food and is a fan of my pureed pumpkin and pureed kumara.  Nyum Nyum.  She has 2 lovely shiny white teeth and has also been moved from her baby capsule to a 'big girl' car seat.  Daily explorations of my face are very interesting to her; as is placing her fingers in my mouth and laughing when I pretend to eat them.  I've started reading
'Baby Sign Language' and have incorporated around 6 'signs' into our day. The research on this is quite remarkable and I'm looking forward to her signing back in a few more months.

Matts hard work for the Waikato Home & Garden Show paid off - with his design work winning Gold in both the Landscape Awards and Best Outdoor Exhibition.  He is thrilled with the awards, of course!
