I'm loving the training system and am already looking forward to increasing my weights next week by the mandatory 5lb (2.5kg). My abs are sore, by triceps are screaming and add in a bit of chest and back DOMS means that lifting baby Lucy can be tough!
My food has been perfect all through the week. Lots of chicken (many thanks to my sponsor Dinsdale Poultry and Seafood), which is trimmed of any visible fat, seasoned/marinaded and cooked in between 2 sheets of baking paper on the Georgie. The baking paper reduces the clean up which is perfect as I have enough to do! Lots of veges are also on my plate and this week I've had an addiction to coleslaw. I make a HUGE bowl of this (cabbage/spring onion/capsicum/carrot) and leave it in the fridge, so come meal time its a simple task of weighing how much I need then adding a dressing. My dressing of choice: a combination of Sweet Chilli Sauce, Fish Sauce and Lime Juice which I make by the cup full then store in the fridge. I also add a teaspoon of Flax Oil to the 'slaw before eating. Nyum!
I am allowing myself one 'treat' meal per week + 2 glasses of vino. At this point I'm not too sure if/when I'll have them.

Today Lucy had her 12 week jibby jab today. She was in such good spirits till the needle went in. Then came the cry, the tears, needle number 2 and then the screeeeam. Oh my goodness, I had never heard her scream so loud and painfully. I had a bottle ready so she was happy with that and within a couple of minutes was her usual smily self as if nothing had happened.

Auckland Personal Trainer Lisa Menzies was nice enough to give me 'Wonder Woman' status on her website, and interviewed me last week. You can check out the story at GoFigure.

Awesome - yay for the motivation Sheta. I made this coleslaw last night. How much do you have per meal. Love it
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle! I have 200g...which is a lot on the plate. Cabbage is the main ingredient (give 31cals and 6.1g carb per 100g) so its pretty good!
